Alfred B Maclay State Gardens is a large state park right in Tallahassee, Florida our state capital. There is a large botanical garden that blooms all year long. Who doesn’t love to stroll around well manicured grounds with a reflection pool, well-maintained paths and lovely flowers all around? They also have Swimming, Picnicking, Playground, Fishing, Canoeing & Kayaking, a Boat ramp, Bicycling, and Tours. They also need Park hosts all year round as well. Since, they do not have camping within the park you and your fellow volunteers will have the run of the park once the gates are closed! The park is open from 8:00 a.m. to sundown and the Gardens are open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. You will more than like get great TV reception and cellphone reception as well.
