Workamping in Florida

Welcome

Welcome to Workamping in Florida website for those who volunteer and live in their recreational vehicles full-time. Part-time RVers and those who haven’t taken the plunge yet are free to join in and share all the information we have available on our database. We have gathered quite a bit of information to write our book called “Insiders Guide to Campground Hosting in Florida Parks” which was originally published in 2014. The places within this book are non-profit companies, cities, counties, state agencies, and federal public land areas within the borders of the state of Florida. We hope to enlarge the database and begin to include private campgrounds, churches, and others around the state who are willing to provide campsites in exchange for work and some that might even pay wages as well.

We are always working on updating our original reference book with new places to volunteer and we will be adding quite a bit of information from our own volunteer work-camping experiences as well as from some of our fellow volunteers. The goal is always to encourage more people to volunteer in all of our public land areas and keep them cleaned and maintained for today and tomorrow. Our future generations are counting on us.

Send Us Your Work Camping Review

We have combined our Southern Ladies Adventures website postings with this website as we will not be able to go on many more adventures in the foreseeable future. We are soliciting our fellow RVing/Workampers to submit workamping reviews for all public land areas over the last 12 months. You can upload your typewritten review with embedded photographs into a WORD or PDF document to our Guest Blog Page.

Even Young Adults and Families Can Do This Too!

Of course, if you have created a video about your experience that you have uploaded to your own YouTube channel we would love to share that with our fellow RVers. We also would like to encourage younger individuals such as environmental science college students that have access to self-contained trailers to volunteer during the summer months. You can get a great experience, perhaps extra credit, have some fun, and even better, references for your resume! All great things to consider.
